Matthew 17: 13 14 "13 Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist. 14 When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him."
Don't take the easy way out... anyone can "Go with the flow"... "follow the crowd," "do what is popular." The "broad way" is the easy, attractive, accept, indulgent, permissive, and self-centered way of the world. There are few rules, restrictions, or requirements. It is easy and simplistic religion.
Sin is ignored, truth is compromised, and humbleness ridiculed. God's Word is applauded but not studied and much less practiced. Jesus' standards are admired but not followed. This way requires no spiritual maturity, no moral character, no commitment, and no sacrifice. It is the easy way of floating downstream. It is the tragic way "which seems right to a man." The way of Christ is narrow, hard... a price must be paid, sacrifices must be done and self-denial is required. You will have few (but true) friends in this way, it will lead you to life... a life of destiny and purpose.
